A day at the studio (self directed)
This is a series of photographs I took just outside the studio trying to implement what I learnt in the first semester.I used the Canon 5D from the technician's room to take the following images.
I batch edited the images below under the lens correction tab I enabled lens profile corrections and on the basic panel I increased the exposure, contrast, blacks and vibrance because the images were a bit under exposed, I also decreased the highlights, shadows and whites. Taken from a low vantage point, the stairs are the leading lines directing you to mona the light above Mona can also be leading lines, you can see texture on the steps and patterns as well.the images have warm colours because of green an yellow tones.Using a small depth of field. The main subject here of cause is the lovely Mona, the negative space seen here are around Mona the stairs, ceiling and the wall behind her.Mona was placed on the top horizontal lines using the rule of thirds.
f/4, shutter 1/80sec, ISO 100, 105mm focal length
f/4, shutter 1/80sec, ISO 100, 65mm focal length
f/4, shutter 1/80sec, ISO 100, 105mm focal length
Using camera raw i batch edited the images the contrast and vibrance,i also used the cropping tool and straightening tool to even out the images, under the basic panel i decreased the highlights and whites.I like how you can only see Monas reflection in the mirror i was standing on the left side of the frame,i took this from a low vantage point mona is the main subject. You can see patterns of the roof and the door which also contributes to the negative space.
f/4, shutter 1/80sec, ISO 100, 47mm focal length
f/4, shutter 1/80sec, ISO 100, 24mm focal length
The image above you can see her standing next to the mirror with her reflection showing, taken from a low vantage point you can see patterns of the yellow and black tape on the wall this image has warm tones because of monas red hair, the red bucket on the left and the gold colour on her dress.Theres texture on the red bucket as well.
f/4, shutter 1/80sec, ISO 100, 65mm focal length
