WK 7 Portfolio wall layout progress
Today i had my final images printed on a contact sheet i plan to have 10 A4 size prints with black frames.Just seeing it on the wall is really exciting. Caroyline and I went to sort out the images on the space i chose which was close to the office.Im still not sure how the layout would be but changes were done as soon as we placed the images accordingly.Still have not decided the spacing but i was thinking 4 or 5 cm apart will see how the A4 size prints turn out.I had to replace one image and add another of my images. I guess I'll finalize the spacing and layout maybe next week.
Really exciting seeing it all come together!!!!
this side of the wall Carolyine and i created this layout but this is not definite. We discussed how the this section had full body shots which complimented each other.I think i would place each frames horizontal to each other, making sure the color tones are similar to each other. Each telling a story with their different outfits and background.
I had to replace the image on the left the background was too busy and very contrasty compared to the other two backgrounds which was plain white.I had the same image shot but with the plain white background which i would be using.I like the three portraits on this side of the wall because they are in portraits and had similar tones and placements.
Afternoon session with the printed A4 SIZE images planning of the layout ,cutting of images.
So Nat came out with this layout and we all agreed it compliments each other the clock like layout pairs well with each other below are some of the layouts we discussed as a class
So i went home and played around with the layouts i tried to vary the spreads so the viewer doesn’t get bored. So thats why i reutilized a layout more than once. with saying that i did not do any changes with the three strong portrait shots i chose earlier in class.
With the layout below i placed the order differently, just a slight change to it so it doesn’t look exactly the same. The key is to not bore the viewer. But i found out the first clock layout worked really well which i will use to display my images.

Your layout may feel different with the cropping of the two landscape orientated images. It would be a good idea to print these images out with the new crop and see how they work with your final edit.
