WK 7 Portfolio Artist statement
i got inspired with the theme title ''Love over Gold'' from Dire straits cassette i used for my portfolio i think its goes well with what im trying to portray.My goal is to leave some mystery for the viewers
I wrote a short statement talking about my work.
Love Over Gold
"You've thrown your love to all the strangers And caution to the wind it takes Love over Gold ''
Through these strange yet alluring images, Pearllisa Sharma captures the activity of collecting recycling and reusing waste; highlighting what becomes of our discarded paper, plastic and other such odds and ends.
These images are not real, they are what you want them to be; a story, an impression, a familiar vagueness. Visually these images gives us food for thought.
Pearllisa Sharma strives to make sense of the world visually and trust that the metaphor and poetry will follow.

Sice the two images with landscape forms was measured and cropped to a portrait layout it will be placed in their same positions.

Im planning to print the image below as my artist statement as well will be printed in normal form or i might get it printed professionally on saturday i included this image because it was one of my 10 images i was going to use for my portfolio but realised it didnt pair with the others cause he was staring at the camera.This would be another way to thank my husband for being a great support for my portfolio.
This is a really great artist statement Pearllisa! Would you consider printing it on inkjet paper? It might mean you have to pull out one of your extra images and replace it with this? Also, are you still going to include the image of your husband on this sheet?
