WK 3 DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY RAW EXERCISES
In class exercise
This week i learnt to straightened images, changing images to black and white using HSL panel,
I had to straighten some of the images experimenting with the rotate tool, the straighten tool, the crop tool and automatic straightening, screenshot and saved. The Preset Aspect Ratio changes to reflect the preset you created, and a crop grid appears. A cropping shield covers the area outside the cropping selection. First, you’ll straighten the image
Click Straighten in the options bar. The pointer changes to the Straighten tool.
Click at the top corner of the photo, and drag a straight line across the top edge of the photo.Photoshop straightens the image, so that the line you drew is parallel with the top of the image area.
This week i learnt to straightened images, changing images to black and white using HSL panel,
This week we were using images from the server in order to complete the following adjustment on camera raw.
This image was straightened with the automatic straightening.
I had to choose a landscape image and use the adjustment panel to darken the sky.I decreased the exposure to bring out the blue sky and increased the saturation and contrast.
This s a slightly underexposed portrait using the adjustment panel to adjust the exposure of the subject increasing the exposure to bring out the underexposed background.
This image was used in the adjustment panel using the HSL grey panel to convert to black and white. On the Convert to Grayscale checkbox, it gives you an incredibly flat conversion (like the one you see here), and you might be tempted to drag those color sliders around. And then on the adjustment panel i increased the exposure so that the centred object is lighter than the dark blackground.
Using the adjustment panel i turned the background black and white by decreasing the contrast and saturation leaving the subject in color.
Self Directed
This image was straightened using the the straighten tool, this was shot at night so it was underexposed so i auto corrected the image on the basic panel and decreased the clarity to make the image subtle and also increased the exposure because it was still underexposed.
This image was shot at night I straightened the image on the adjustment panel using the straighten tool i also darkened the clouds using the adjustment brush i decreased the exposure the image and on the basic panel i increased the exposure, increased the vibrance, clarity and saturation to highlight the whole image to bring out the reflection of the lights and night sky.
Using the adjustment panel i turned the background black and white by decreasing the contrast, saturation to remove the colors leaving the subject in colour.
I chose this portrait and using the HSL grey scale panel to convert to black and white and using the basic panel i increased the exposure, decreased the highlights and increased the clarity.
